Ideas for Action hosted a special program during the 2016 Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group in Washington, DC.

The summit focused on promoting the importance of involving youth in implementing the Sustainable Development Goals. The agenda created unique opportunities both for development and industry leaders to gain first-hand insights into fostering youth engagement and for young leaders from around the world to share innovative ideas with important decision makers in order to help shape the global development agenda.

As part of the official Annual Meeting, the first session at the World Bank Headquarters served to share insights into promoting youth engagement with World Bank officials, government representatives, and industry thought leaders from around the world. Subsequently, Ideas for Action, in partnership with George Washington University, hosted an in-person and online Global Young Leaders’ Dialogue on innovations, financing, and implementing the Sustainable Development Goals. The Global Dialogue allowed participants from around the world to directly engage in the conversation and to help shape the next steps of Ideas for Action and its partnering youth initiatives from around the world.
